The history of Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter:
The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter was chartered on July 12, 1995 in Cleveland, Ohio. There were 31 initial Brothers who showed an interest in chartering a new chapter in Cleveland, Ohio. The Founders include Brothers Darnell Robertson (Omega Chapter), Bro. George Whitehead, Bro. Calvin Thomas (Omega Chapter), Bro. Dargan Burns (Omega Chapter), and Bro. William H. McDonald, IV (Omega Chapter).
The chapter has continued to grow and prosper. Our talent hunt contestant won the National Talent Hunt competition in 1998 at the 70th Grand Conclave in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2006, Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter successfully hosted the 65th Annual 4th District Meeting at The Beachwood Hilton. As the District Marshall of the 65th Annual 4th District Meeting, Bro. Darnell Robertson became the first 4th District Officer from Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter. Bro. Darnell Robertson was again appointed 4th District Marshall for the 81st Annual 4th District Meeting. Bro. William Comeaux was the first Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter brother to receive the 4th District Omega Man of the Year in May 2010. Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter was recognized as the 4th District Chapter of the Year in 2009 and 2020. Zeta Kappa Kappa was recognized as the 4th District Social Action Chapter of the Year in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2019 and 2020 for smaller size chapters. During the 2012 Fraternity Year, Bro. Steven Robertson became the first Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter Brother to be appointed to the position of Northeast Ohio Area Representative.
At the 2012 4th District Annual Meeting, in Canton, Ohio, Bro. Steven Robertson was elected to become the 4th District Keeper of Peace. Bro. Steven became the first Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter member to be elected as a 4th District Officer.
